Earth has no sorrows that earth cannot heal, or heaven cannot heal, for the earth as seen in the clean wilds of the mountains is about as divine as anything the heart of man can conceive. I do not think a day passes in my life in which I fail to look with fresh amazement at the miracle of nature. It is there on every side. It can be simply a shadow on a mountainside, or a sunlight on the leaves of a tree. I have always especially loved the water.
I think that one may contribute (ever so slightly) to the beauty of things by making one’s own life and environment beautiful, so far as one’s power reaches. This includes moral beauty, one of the qualities of humanity, though it seems not to appear elsewhere in the universe. But I would have each person realize that his contribution is not important, its success not really a matter for exultation nor its failure for mourning; the beauty of things is sufficient without him.
Does it mean that the inner adventures respond to the outer adventures either less or more forcefully ? For me they are co-manifesting! Inner adventure is always a response to outer adventure. Or perhaps outer adventure of an individual is triggered by his internal adventure.
I am not even sure if they can be separated at any moment. They are co-manifesting. Or it seems so for me.
I get your point, but i disagree. For instance, all this blog brings so much beauty and this can not be done without you.
Not a soul out there…splendid 😉 Please google/images ” Ethan Murrow “.
There are some empty places down the atchafalaya basin that no human has ever set foot on because of the 17+ foot alligators there. A place to go maybe.
Happy to see you returning to the sky. You know we can’t truly change the way we live on Earth until we acknowledge our deep emotional attachment to the places where we live and then affirm and strengthen that attachment by finding and making beauty where those places are damaged. The act of attending to a wounded place has been compared to the kind of loving, non-demanding attention we bring to a friend who is ill. Often there is nothing we can do to “heal” this friend. However, presence, mindfulness, and love are essential for as long as the relationship lasts. Similarly, (we aim) to heal not the place itself, but the relationship between people and places. And you have always made the difference in all the places ( tangible or not) you have been to.
